Flipping Tragedy
to Comedy

Star-Cross*d is an Elizabethan-style script written unintentionally to coincide with the end of the Second Elizabethan Era.

By investigating innuendo, disregarding dichotomy, and drawing poetic parallels just that bit closer, it flips tragedy to comedy in a way to depict what we don’t already know about Theatre’s quintessential portrayal of love.

Rehearsed Read-throughs
&
Workshops

We are bringing to life a timeless tragedy from a perspective never seen before!

Written by George Bootle, our play is a fresh take on the belovèd tale of two star-crossed lovers. Imagine Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ - but "from the other room”.

Our cast will perform a rehearsed read-through. By getting the play off the page and on it's 'feet', audiences will truly understand the passage of fate that led to the famous lovers’ demise...
