Rachel Eben is Artistic Director of BootleBird, co-founding the company with George Bootle in 2017. Rachel made her directing debut with project ‘Annie’s Spectacles’ and has been writing and performing with George ever since.
Rachel’s approach to acting centres around the voice, she knows how a perfected vocal performance - in comedy, drama or tragedy - can fill in many colours of each character she plays. Rachel is a character actor who enjoys making bold choices and fully immersing herself in the role. Rachel’s approach to work is playful, positive, and imaginative.
For the last 8 years, Rachel has been Tutoring LAMDA pupils in schools across London, her kind teaching style has been described as affirming each pupil’s unique, “weird” personal expression as people and as actors.
Theatrical Credits include: Lady Crouch in ‘Annie’s Spectacles’ with BootleBird Theatre Company; White Horse in ‘Painted Faces’ by Chamenos Collective at The Vaults Festival; Ensemble/Demonic Child ‘Against Nothingness or 3cm Above an Empty Head’ by Pulse 53 at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
